TL;DR
Welcome back to Dev Opportunity Radar.
This is a weekly series where I share opportunities, resources, communities, and interesting finds ...
For further actions, you may consider blocking this person and/or reporting abuse
What opportunities, communities, grants, fellowships, hackathons, conferences, or resources have you come across recently that deserve more attention?
I'm always looking for things to include in future editions, so feel free to share anything interesting you've found. If I feature one of your finds in a future edition, I'll always make sure to credit you.
If you discovered an opportunity through the radar, applied to something, joined a community, attended an event, or simply found something you hadn't seen before, I'd genuinely love to hear about that too. With your permission, I'd be happy to feature your update in a future 💙 Reader Updates section.
Small request: If you are sharing a link, please avoid posting raw URLs directly. DEV sometimes filters them before I get a chance to see the comment.
I also wrote a little personal note in this edition. If you've been wondering why I've been a bit quieter lately, or why I haven't been supporting your work in the way I usually do, I hope you'll take a moment to read it. I just wanted to share a little context because I don't want my silence to be misunderstood 🫶
My problem is not finding opportunities anymore.
My problem is having enough time to apply to all of them. 😭😂
At this point, Dev Opportunity Radar is basically my weekly reminder that I have 47 things I could be doing instead of procrastinating. 😅
I wouldn't call it procrastinating, I'd call it having too many good options and not enough time! That's a much better problem to have, right?
Thank you for this comment though; it lightened my mood today 😀 And honestly, if the Radar is giving you 47 things to choose from, I think I'm doing something right 😄
Hey Hema. Please take care for yourself and don't worry about us! I figured you are busy. You are welcomed back anytime whenever you are ready! We are here for you! (Great list here too :D)
Hey Francis, thank you so much. And yes, I’m trying to take things a little easy and go one day at a time. It means a lot knowing you guys are here. Glad you liked the list too 😄
Please don’t push yourself too hard during such a difficult time. Your time, your family, and your own well-being should always come first.
At the same time, I really respect that you’re still continuing the Radar and trying to support the community even when things are difficult. That’s truly admirable. 🐱
And please don’t worry about missing posts or not being able to reply to everyone. I’m sure people understand. Take care of yourself first, and don’t overdo it. 💙
Thank you so much, Nyaomaru 💙 This really means a lot, especially right now. I’m just trying to take things one day at a time and not push myself too much. Thank you for being so kind and supportive 😀
Hema, thanks for keeping this going, and I hope things ease up on your end.
One more for the list if it helps: NASA Space Apps Challenge registration is open. November 14 and 15, run with 17 space agencies across 190 plus countries and 450 plus local events, open to all skill levels.
Nice to have one that's far enough out to plan around. Has anyone here ever put a DEV team together for something like this? I'd be up for trying it.
Definitely adding this to Edition #15 😀 I hadn’t seen this before, so thank you so much for sharing it!
I don’t think I can join this one myself with everything going on right now, but I love the idea of putting a team together from the DEV community. Do you want me to mention your idea in the next edition too? I can add a small note for anyone interested to leave a comment and connect. Maybe some people here will be interested!
Yes, that'd be great. Thank you!
Sis, take your time, we are always with you!
Happy Raksha Bandhan!🎊
Thank you bro 🥹 Happy Raksha Bandhan to you too! And thank you for always being there and supporting me. It means a lot 🧡
Really glad you're keeping the Radar going, Hema. I get the DEV pull too, when I stay away too long, it feels off. Take your time. 😊
Thank you for always supporting me, Shubhra! It means a lot 🧡
This is such a useful roundup. I especially like the mix of hackathons and learning resources — the Agents for Humans Hackathon looks particularly interesting for anyone wanting to build something practical with AI agents. Thanks for putting these opportunities together!
Amazing article. Take care and be well. Everything might be tough right now but it will be better. Please take care and feel free to reach out to me to talk about anything. Don't be afraid. You help us by bringing these amazing articles every week and If we as a community or I can help you in any way possible feel free to talk to me.
Thank you so much, Konark. I’m lucky to have such a supportive community here. And yes, I’ll definitely reach out if I need anything. Thank you again for being so kind and supportive.
Hey, don't worry about being less active. Real life gets priority. Always.
You've given a lot to this community already. You don't owe us a perfect posting schedule, a reaction on every article, or anything else.Take care of yourself and your family first. The Radar will still be here next Friday. And if it's not next Friday, that's okay too.
One day at a time. We're still around. 👊
Thank you so much, Xu 💙 I needed to hear this. Knowing you guys are still around means a lot to me. One day at a time 🙌
I went back to sleep, but woke up again at midnight just to read the post of such a hardworking girl. Hema Priya, your name itself means someone who is precious, radiant like gold, and dearly loved. Please take care of yourself. We are always with you. Focus on yourself and your health too. You are working so hard, but taking care of yourself is equally important.
And the way you’re thinking about this is completely natural. You always think about everyone, which is why you took the time to write this personal note. I truly salute your thoughtfulness and sensitivity. 🙏🏻
Take care Hema!
Aww, you actually know what my name means 🥹💙 I didn’t expect that. And you waking up at midnight just to read the post, you’re too sweet.
Thank you for always being so kind, Divya. It means a lot to me 🫶🏻 And yes, I will make sure to take care of myself too.
