Working from home now :D
Great!
huge
Being named one of the Top 7 of the week—it's always a pleasant surprise—especially as I wasn't expecting it.
I bought a new domain name 😃
What's the domain name?? and how much?? :o
I'm still trying to figure out a good domain name for my art.
Built StacksNG for the Africa Deep Tech Challenge 2026: an offline AI coding assistant for the African fintech stack (Paystack, Flutterwave, Monnify, Termii).
Runs on an 8GB laptop, no GPU, no internet.
A DEV.to reader found 2 real bugs in it after I published my write-up. I fixed both, added regression tests, documented all of it.

I finally got around to redoing my portfolio site into something that's not completely terrible. Post coming soon 😁
I got this masterpiece... 😍
for this article 👇🏻
Puts a 100k-row space dataset to the test
I Used React DataGrid to Build a Real Space Mission Explorer
And I reached these amazing stats this week 😎
Eh, not really a win. the database migration tool i've been working on for years, i have to rip it all apart because I'm thinking of building an offline, local, desktop app one instead because I don't like people's data going through a network just to migrate from one db to another.
I guess the win here is that i finished mapping out all the plans, what needs to be written and a newly chosen tech stack.
I also got an offer from a Malaysian bank for a senior dev position, already signed their paper and I'm joining them next month... bureaucracy! yikes!!
Congratulations on your new job! And I think you've made the right decision to switch toward building an offline app.
Back in May, I began posting my series "AI,Ego & Regret"on dev.to, and guess what – it's now officially on Amazon! Both ebook and paperback are approved and about to go live. Thank you so much, dev.to fam! 🙌hahaha🥳
Side project 1:
Side project 2:
🎉 Shipped a bunch on side project 2 this week — fixed a nasty blank-page bug on Trending, added trending/suggested-users sidebars, smoothed out message alert animations, and got the footer social links live. Small stuff, but it's adding up! 🚀
The first hackathon I've ever been orgaizing now on the starting blocks for the 9 th. of September, all about Open Data, AI, MCP, API and recruitement :
and the best.... I'm brining my master students into the adventure :
It was telling my boss that I was quitting.
Freedom from my ego—thank you all so much!
Submitted four posts to the DEV Summer Bug Smash challenge before the deadline. Three of them came from bugs I hit while building Entiscore, a web entity audit agent I built during the Kiro powered by AWS hackathon. The Framer Motion one was the most satisfying to write because it turned out to be the same bug in six different files, and I only figured that out on the third time it appeared
Just over a week ago, but ....
Working with reviewer Peter Zhu, I completed a full re-write of the documentation for Ruby's Pathname class (which has now been brought into the Ruby core).
Pathname is a majorly under-utilizied class. Check it out!

Let’s build, learn, and experiment together. 🚀💻
Ahh.. A bunch of things! Finally happy with the first version of my free guitar learning site with chord charts and more.
Also reviewed (my first) one abstract for a workshop @ NeurIPS, so that's that.
Started a new project that made me learn a lot o new things! :D
Thanks for asking! My big win this week is QH256.
QH256 is a deterministic 256-bit state structure built for the K501-AIONARC Information Space. It uses 128 two-bit cells to represent four defined states.
This week, I finished formalizing the algebra and fixing the specification, and the C implementation has now been validated twice with reproducible tests.
Validation v0.1.0 is now released on GitHub, and Validation v2.0.0 will follow next.
Code and validation: k501-Information-Space/QH256
Cheers 🍾😛🥂
Finally able to update my web portfolio. Planning on adding more features to it as well continuously. I've also knocked down multiple to-do's that have been sitting there for like weeks now so I'm quite relieved about that.
I redesigned our web site over the weekend: heraistudio.org!
I have finally created my youtube channel and have already posted my first video :)
Finally deciding on a release date (took 3 months)
A c++ GGUF inference engine that took me about a month to code from scratch was completed this past Monday! 😃
Now all I have to do is find this damn bug that is making it output garbage. 😡
Small, consistent wins compound faster than waiting for perfect timing.
Keep building 💪🏼
Completed PG in AI and ML :)
Finished the new dashboard for Magic :)

I wrote my first article here
I prevented myself from killing myself.
Release V.E.L.O.C.I.T.Y. Installer and it's MSI-crate, got V.E.L.O.C.I.T.Y. Workflow done, created Resume-Helper for a friend, now to write the posts 🫡
build a SpringAI project and publish it in render :)
