Amazon announced its latest smart home hardware lineup in New York, featuring the new Echo Show 16, updated Echo Dots powered by the AZ3 chip, and the introduction of Alexa Home Map for AI-driven tracking via outdoor cameras.
The main announcement was the Echo Show 16, a 16-inch smart display that starts at $499,99. The version with a special anti-glare screen costs $569,99. The stands are sold separately, with the basic stand costing $69,99 and the swivel and tilt stand costing $124,99.
The company also introduced Alexa Home Map, which uses artificial intelligence to track people and vehicles from outdoor cameras. The feature will initially be available in beta for Echo Show 15, 16, and 21 models, as well as Alexa Tablets, Ember Artline Fire TV, and apps for Android and iOS devices.
New devices with specific functions
Amazon has also focused on more niche devices. The Alexa Photo Frame is a 10-inch touchscreen digital picture frame that costs $199,99 in black and $229 in birch or walnut.

The Echo Time is an alarm clock with a 3,2-inch touchscreen and sleep-tracking sensors, priced at $199,99. The kids' version costs $209,99 and includes a one-year subscription to Amazon Kids+.
The company also refreshed the Echo Dot, which features a new processor, fourth microphone, and sensors, and is priced at $99,99. The kids version of the Echo Dot costs $209,99 and also includes a one-year subscription to Amazon Kids+.
Finally, the Echo Studio with Home Camera was introduced, which adds a camera for live viewing of the space and video calls at a price of $249,99.
