An overview of the Boox Palma 2 Pro, a $400 smartphone-sized e-ink reader running Android with Google Play support, cellular data, and stylus compatibility.
Unlike traditional e-readers, this one runs the Android operating system and supports Google Play for downloading apps. It weighs 175 grams and fits easily in a pocket or bag.
The screen has adjustable warm and cool lighting. The device also features a rear camera, built-in speaker, and a SIM card slot for mobile data. It is also compatible with a stylus for note-taking and file editing, and the battery life is said to last 5 to 7 days.
During use, a phenomenon occurs where text from the previous page remains faintly on the screen when turning pages, which requires the use of a refresh button. At the same time, the company plans to release the Palma 3 model, which will have a black and white screen and a price of $340.
