EarA is a new open-source GTK4 application and command-line tool that brings companion device management for Nothing and CMF earbuds to Linux desktops.
It supports features like noise control switching, gesture configuration, and an 8-band equaliser.
What can you do with the new program?
EarA has a graphical interface as well as a command line option for those who prefer the command line. Through the application, you can change noise cancellation levels, disable personalized noise cancellation and automatic ear detection, adjust touch gestures on supported models, and select low latency mode.
In addition, the app displays the battery percentage for each earphone individually as well as for the charging case, has a headphone detection function, and offers an 8-band equalizer along with sound presets and bass boost.
Alternative options and availability
Supported devices include Nothing Ear (a) and CMF Buds 2. The program is not the only option for those using Linux, as another solution is Budslink, which supports the same headphones as well as devices from companies such as Apple, Samsung, Google, Redmi, and OnePlus.
