Hey everyone. Hope you guys are doing well!
As mention in the last welcome thread, I am waiting to fully introduce myself on "Welcome Thread v400". @javz 4 more weeks to go :D
With that said, welcome everyone to DEV. What brings you here today?
It’s getting close!
Hello
Hi everyone! 👋
I’m a security-focused engineer and researcher from Japan.
I’m currently working on incident analysis, defensive security, AI-assisted engineering workflows, and technical documentation. A lot of my work is about turning messy real-world evidence into something reproducible, reviewable, and useful for other practitioners.
I’ve also started publishing some of that work on DEV and on my site, OSIIX.com.
Recently, I’ve been writing about topics such as cyber recovery, security engineering, AI workflow reliability, and lessons learned from real incident analysis.
Looking forward to learning from the community and exchanging ideas with people working in security, infrastructure, AI engineering, and reliability.
Nice to meet you all!
hello
Hello
Hey everyone! 👋 I’m a content writer and SEO specialist interested in web development, AI tools, automation, and digital publishing. I’m currently exploring new ways to combine technology with useful content and improve web workflows. Glad to be here and looking forward to learning from the community!
Hello
Hey, I'm a beginner trying to get into tech world and solve real world problems. I am interested in Web development/ Full Stack development. Looking forward to meet new people, learn and grow my skills!
Hey everyone 👋 I'm a university student in Hong Kong who got into building small AI tools between classes.
I came to DEV because I wanted to learn how to write about what I build — not just build it. I've been making Python scripts and AI agents that solve specific, boring problems (like personalizing cold emails at scale), and I realized the hardest part isn't the code. It's explaining it.
Right now I'm learning how to package and ship small tools properly, and how to talk about them without sounding like a salesperson. Happy to be here.
Hi everyone! I'm Mostafa, a senior Flutter developer from Cairo. I'm a founding engineer and a solopreneur: I build and ship my own apps (TalkFood, a voice calorie tracker, and Qirat, a gold price tracker) and help businesses grow theirs. I'm here to write about what shipping Flutter apps in production actually looks like. Happy to connect with other mobile devs.
Hi everyone! 👋
I'm Raza from Pakistan. I'm learning web development by building small, useful web tools.
I recently built a free browser-based image compressor for JPG, PNG, and WebP images. I'm here to learn from other developers, share what I build, and improve my projects through community feedback.
Happy to be part of DEV! 🚀
hi, philip from germany. full stack dev by day, and on the side I build small web projects. right now i am working on lienks, a simple privacy friendly web analytics tool. just posted my first article here about why i use clickhouse for it. happy to be here :D
Hey everyone! 👋
I'm a 2nd-year Computer Science student from India. I'm currently learning full-stack web development and working with the MERN stack.
I'm also interested in open source, hackathons, and building projects that are actually useful. Looking forward to meeting everyone here, learning from the community, and hopefully collaborating on some cool projects!
I'm Abhinav, a B.Tech CSE student interested in Cloud, DevOps, Java, AI, and Open Source. I'm here to learn, build projects, share what I learn, and connect with fellow developers. 🚀
Excited to be part of the DEV community!
Hey everyone! 👋
I’m an IT enthusiast from Kenya. I joined this community to learn, build, and connect with people who are exploring technology.
I’m currently learning more about web development, AI, and cybersecurity. I’m also interested in building useful products and explaining technology in a simple, practical way.
Fun fact: I can spend hours thinking about a tech idea before writing the first line of code 😂
Looking forward to learning from you all and connecting with other people who enjoy building with technology.
welcome brother
Great to be here! I’m interested in fintech, financial data, web development and practical tools that make complex information easier to understand. Looking forward to learning from the community and sharing some of my own projects and experiences as well.
Hi there !! I am a Software Engineer currently working on financial services for 10+ countries. Kinda feel bored doing the same stuff so by night time I activate my bat coder mode and I hop into dev communities.
I am professionally a Java Spring Fintech guy.... But I keep an eye out for Low level systems, OS, IOT , AI systems , and cloud architechture.
---------------We are building apowerb in the opensource----------------------------
I am Anis, an AI and data engineer with 9+ years shipping ML and data projects in industry and banking. I got tired of agent demos that look great and fall apart in production, so with the team we built apowerb and open-sourced it.
apowerb is an open-source (Apache 2.0) runtime to build, run and operate AI agents in production. Not a library you glue together, the full stack: RAG, Text-to-SQL, multi-LLM, event triggers, a UI, and a real Docker/Kubernetes/Helm deploy. It is the same engine behind our own production agents.
We decided to build it as a community project rather than a closed product, because the hard parts (keeping agents grounded, traceable, and running on your own infra) get solved faster in the open.
It is early, the contributor list is short, and that is kind of the point: there is real room to shape where it goes. If you are building agents and that sounds like your thing, the repo and the Discord are open.
github.com/apowerb/apowerb
What would you want from an open-source agent platform that existing tools do not give you?
Who I am
Backend engineer with 10+ years in Java. I've built and maintained large codebases, given and received countless code reviews, and seen the same pattern repeat: good advice that nobody acts on
What I work on
Since 2023 I've been building RAG-based Q&A systems, and I'm deeply into the agent space — how autonomous agents are reshaping the way we build AI applications. It's the most interesting shift in our field right now, and I'm actively exploring where it goes
*Why I'm here To *
have real conversations with developers around the world. Local circles are great, but the sharpest perspectives on engineering process, AI agents, and code quality are spread across the global dev community — and I want to be part of that exchange
*What I write about *
The gap between finding problems and fixing them. Code review, tech debt, engineering process, and where agents actually help — and where they don't
Say hi If you're building with agents, or your team struggles with review comments that never get implemented, I'd love to hear from you.
Hey everyone! 👋
I'm Bryan — full-stack dev, 20+ years in PHP and vanilla JS. I build production-first, zero-dependency tools. Creator of The DJ Calendar, a real-time EDM tour platform.
I'll be sharing deep dives on search architecture, schema/SEO, and extracting production patterns into standalone open-source repos. Looking forward to connecting with this community!
Currently maintaining 10 repos with live demos and CI-tested libraries. Ask me anything about shipping real code.
Hello World
I'm Ronnie (Ronald Gosso), a cloud engineer, full-stack developer, and AI/ML engineer based in Tanzania.
A bit about me
By day I'm Lead Engineer at tech company. I'm also a Computer Science student at Arusha Technical College (ATC). Most of my learning happens by building something, breaking it, and then writing down what I figured out.
My background is fairly wide:
Things I've built (opensourced)
You can find the rest on my GitHub: github.com/ronaldgosso
What I'd like to write about here
What I'm hoping to get from this community
I'd like feedback on my projects, good reading recommendations, and conversations with developers who are working on similar problems. If you work on mobile, backend, cloud, or AI, or just like open source, say hi in the comments.
What are you building right now? Tell me below, I'd love to check it out.
Thanks for reading, and see you around!
Ronald
Hello
Hi everyone! 👋
I'm a senior software developer working mostly with Go, and I also spend a good part of my time on software architecture: designing backend systems, thinking about trade-offs, and trying to keep things simple as they grow.
Before Go, I worked a lot with PHP, and I know some Java too.
Hi 👋 I come from the dark side (marketing), but I come in peace.
15+ years sharing open spaces with developers, and I still don't know why the code freeze always lands the week before my launch. I became a workflow builder by accident, when my SEO pipeline started making its own decisions.
Here to learn, ask the obvious questions early, and return the favor on anything go-to-market.
