French web developer mainly but touches everything. Volunteer admin mod here at DEV. I learn AI and Astro at this moment and databases. — Addict to Cappuccino and Music
Congrats on getting it merged! There's something special about shipping a feature to the platform you use every day. Bringing org pages in line with the pinned posts personal profiles already have makes a lot of sense, especially for orgs whose best evergreen guides get buried under newer posts. Thanks for writing up the steps too, I'm sure plenty of org admins won't notice the new button without it.
Thanks, Aliza! That's exactly one of the things I had in mind when working on this. Some posts are still useful months or even years after they're published, and it felt a bit odd that orgs couldn't keep those posts easily accessible. Glad you found the steps useful too!
After over 8 years of Quality Assurance in the Video Game Industry, I have decided to start my own Dev Journey and start creating my own games instead of testing or playing them.
Oh nice! Thanks for the fix!
You're welcome, Thomas! Glad it's useful!

Five pinned posts is a good ceiling. Any more and the org page would just be a second feed.
Five is enough to keep the important stuff visible without overwhelming the page.
Thanks, Hanzla. Five keeps the choice simple, and anything past that starts to feel like scrolling a feed.
Proof that opening an upstream PR is still orders of magnitude faster than dying in a product backlog triage queue.
Sometimes it's just better to take the initiative and build what you want to see.
Proof you can stand for your wishes and win! Good job Hanzla! We root for you!
Thanks! Means a lot. I had been hoping to see this feature on DEV for a while, so I'm glad I got to help make it happen.
