What a Pest Control Website Should Cost

Nobody searches for a pest control company on a calm Sunday afternoon. They search after seeing ants on the counter or hearing something in the attic. The visitor is worried, in a hurry and ready to call whoever looks competent first.

So the budget question is not "how cheap can the site be" but "which parts of the site actually win the call."

The short answer

In the US, a pest control site typically costs about $2,500 to $10,000 with a freelancer or small studio. Agencies often charge 1.5 to 2.5 times more for the same scope. These are general market ranges, not a price list.

What drives the price

  1. How many pests and services you cover. Each pest deserves its own page, and good content takes real hours.
  2. Recurring plans. If quarterly or monthly service is a big part of your income, the site should explain plans and make starting one easy.
  3. Service area coverage. One town needs a few location pages. A multi-county company needs many more.
  4. Quote and scheduling tools. A short form is quick. A form that routes by pest and urgency is a bigger job.

Cost by tier

Tier What you get Typical range
Lead-generation 6 to 10 pages, quote form, click-to-call, reviews $2,500 to $4,500
Plans and booking Page per pest, plan sign-up, scheduling request, 6 to 12 area pages $4,500 to $7,500
Full custom Field-service software integration, commercial section, deeper analytics $8,000 to $12,000 and up

One page per pest

This is the most valuable structure on a pest control site and the one most often skipped. A good pest page covers:

  • The treatment approach in plain language
  • What the customer should prepare before the visit
  • How long a visit takes and when to expect results
  • A clear next step, like a call button or short form

Do not copy the same text with the pest name swapped.

Three ways to handle plan sign-up

Approach How it works Cost impact
Explain, then call Page describes plans, form or phone starts the conversation Lowest
Hand-off to your software Form sends details into your scheduling tool Moderate
Online sign-up and billing Customers pick a plan and pay recurring fees on the site Highest

For many local companies the middle option is the sweet spot.

Running costs

Plan for roughly $50 to $300 a month across hosting, maintenance and any scheduling software.

Questions to ask before signing

  • Is a page per pest included, and who writes the content?
  • What happens when someone submits the quote form, and who is notified?
  • How will recurring plans be handled, and what does that cost?
  • Who owns the hosting and domain accounts?
  • If we part ways, do I get full access and a backup?

FAQ

Do I need a page for each pest?
It is strongly recommended. Each page answers a specific, urgent search.

Freelancer or agency?
For a local company with a clear scope, a vetted freelancer usually offers better value. Agencies suit multi-branch operations.

What platform fits best?
WordPress handles many service pages, custom forms and integrations without heavy limits.

How long does the build take?
Three to five weeks for a lead-generation site, six to eight for a site with many pest pages and plan sign-up.
